This entailed key stakeholder kick off meeting, identification of critical success factors (CSF), workstream discovery to build the project plan and to identify risks and issues.  We had planned to run weekly calls and monthly face to face meetings, but due to Covid, we went ‘virtual’ using Teams.  Full project office was managed by RaspberrySky using Smartsheet and basecamp. HOW WE HELPED We undertook a full evaluation of the telephony system to understand the true ‘lost call’ rate across central and property voice. Modelled the data and provided a set of options for consideration. Dove tailed the IT audit to offer an ultimate solution that enabled the business to remove the latency of the PMS and improve customer engagement both through voice and on-property.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>To conduct a IT audit for the Kabanas brand and make recommendations for their future IT stack. HOW WE HELPED We conducted an audit of the current IT stack, evaluated both the existing and aspirational customer journey, and assessed key operational challenges. From this, we created a blueprint for the future IT architecture. Drawing on our expertise, we provided clear recommendations on which systems to retire, which to retain, and identified a shortlist of vendors to fill any gaps. To support decision-making, we outlined the pros and cons of each recommended vendor, aligned with the brand’s strategic goals.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>To manage an RFP process for Kempinski Hotels to identify the best fit ‘next generation’ Cloud PMS for their global portfolio of hotels HOW WE HELPED We implemented a formal RFP process and working with a key stakeholder group, we developed the unique business requirements for Kempinski Hotels. Based on a knowledge and experience of the market we identified vendors with broad capability to align to Kempinski Hotels needs. We RFP the vendors and using a Balance Scorecard approach we were able to reduce the ‘long tail’ of vendors to a short list. We then undertook a deeper dive on the vendors capabilities (functional / non-functional / commercial) enabled us to short list vendors. We developed use cases and ‘show and tell’ elements specific for vendor presentations. This was followed by a ‘test and verify’ process which enabled users to validate the user ability of the systems.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Conduct a commercial review to help identify areas of opportunity and strategies for performance improvement. HOW WE HELPED We initially conducted a high level commercial review using RMS and PMS data and competitive set reports to fully understand the business performance versus budget. From this report we were able to identify the challenges and opportunities and were able to implement changes by putting in place an Interim Commercial Director, whilst supporting the recruitment for the full time role. A new pricing and product strategy was implemented based on intelligent, data driven decisions, in consultation with the commercial management team</image:caption>

The Parliamentary Review is a series of documents that are based on individual industry sectors and focus on raising standards by sharing best practice from industry leaders, that inform both sides of The House. The Parliamentary Review provides a platform for businesses to share their challenges &amp; opportunities that feed directly to Parliament, The House of Lords, Government and Select Committees. This year is the first year that Hospitality has been included as part of the series.
